The All India Client Merchandise Vendors Federation (AICPDF) on Saturday, January 4, 2025, raised issues over an commercial via Swiggy Instamart.
The commercial in query reportedly urges shoppers to “Forestall Grocery Purchases from Retail Retail outlets! We Ship in 10 Mins,” a message that AICPDF alleges threatens the livelihoods of tens of millions of small shops and vendors throughout India.
In a submit on social media platform X, the AICPDF expressed alarm over what it described as a “stunning and brazen” try to disrupt the standard retail ecosystem.
The organisation said that the marketing campaign represents an “open attack” on India’s 1.3 crore shops and eight lakh vendors, who shape the spine of the country’s financial system.

“Such predatory campaigns, if left unchecked, will dismantle the spine of our financial system—our small shops—leaving tens of millions of households in melancholy,” the AICPDF mentioned.
Highlighting the essential position performed via conventional shops and vendors, the federation recommended the federal government to take fast and decisive motion to curb what it termed as “ruthless assaults” at the retail sector.
In keeping with the AICPDF, unchecked dominance via huge platforms may result in monopolistic practices that undermine financial independence and exacerbate unemployment.
Till 5 pm, Swiggy Instamart has no longer issued a public reaction to the allegations.
